pepperkeibuu: (【ゆーのちゃん】→うグー)
Okay, visited Korea for the first time in forever. HALLELUIAH and I never came back the same person again. Nope, I'm just kidding. But seriously I learned some things there that I never knew I'd end up bring home here. So here ya go~~

Btw, these aren't in any order...they are just thrown here randomly. (i'm not even bothering to put this in a cut because YOLO)

1. FEED YOUR SKIN

I honestly didn't care much about skin care prior to leaving for Korea but I got brainwashed when I was there. I used to just do a facial wash-moisturizer (and sometimes toner/facial mask) type of routine but noooo~ Korea changed that routine. I came home getting more concerned with my skin condition especially after seeing how many steps Korean people have for their daily skin routine. Since coming back home I've started doing a short facial wash-toner-serum/essence-moisturizer routine and I'm actually liking the results. ;__________; I kind of (sorta) regret not hoarding more skin products back in Myeongdong huhu

Plus I think I'm in love with Korea beauty products than Japanese now....huhu I used to be an avid fan of Japanese make up, yep...totally brainwashed.

P.S HAND CREAM HANDCREAM HANDCREAM. I kinda got used to rubbing my hands with a hand cream because the weather in Korea was so cold and my whole body was drying up so I had to put on hand cream like...what every two hours...and that kinda stuck on me for a week....until It became a habit now. ;(

2. MESSY AT NIGHT CLEAN BY DAY

I don't know if it's just by night or....in Myeongdong or its just me being a judge-y little tiny tourist but Myeongdong at night left me...speechless. I mean the Exit 6 was filled with mountain of trashes like mini payatas pile of discarded food plates, drinks, pet bottles etc. I was actually wondering if those pile of trash would still be there tomorrow when I come back but when I was wrong. Myeongdong was so clean almost...like Singapore loljk. It looked like no piles of trash ever happened the night before. Okay, this is Miya being too amused and ....SOBS I just wish that happened here in this ....country.

3. YOU GOTTA LOVE ONDOLS DURING WINTER.

NO JOKE. If I fell in love with Singapore's MRT and Japan's Tokyo Banana's....I feel in love with Korea's ONDOL System (like holy crap what is this sorcery type of love.) I literally laid and yelled at my siblings and parents when they tried to step on the flooring with their shoes on. They thought I was crazy when I said I was lying on the floor and actually got scolded for it (it sucks to be scolded when you're already half fifty but meh)  turns out the floor was heated and I never looked at floors the same way ever again. Home restaurants have ondols too and it felt really nice and cozy. TuT Best thing ever especially on cold Winter nights. b(TuT)b

4. NOT ALL YOUR OPPAS ARE FAMOUS IN KOREA

Sure they may sound famous internationally but the competition within their country is TIGHT like seriously. I asked some people around and not everyone knew who BTS espcially our tour guide. She knew some famous groups from the big 3 like SUJU, EXO, BigBang, 2ne1, Girls Gen but she wasn't familiar with BTS. I felt kinda sad but....hey I heard Butterfly and Run in Nandaemun NR so kekeke I'm really really proud.

5. NEVER GO TO FAMOUS TOURIST SPOT AND WANDER AROUND ....ALONE

Did I mention couples here are reallllllllllllly affectionate with each other like....face eating affectionate....in public. Cringe worthy? Yes. Very uncomfortable? Yes. Did I freak out? No. I was walking around the Observatory deck in Namsan trying to take a proper city photo alone at one corner then couples keep standing beside me taking kissy selcas like omg can i have a decent peace at this side without hearing any smacks or...yeah for at least a couple of mins? ;___;

LORD I PROMISE I AM NOT GOING BACK HERE ALONE. Next time, I'm bring my boyfriend. ...soon to be....uhm.. yeah just....not alone okay. . I couldnt help but imagine how affectionate the dorks would be though ugh.

6. MRT STATIONS AND
 DISCIPLINE

STAIRS. LOTS AND LOTS OF STAIRS. Even Ahjummas and Ahjusshis can climb faster than my parents and they're atleast 10 years younger than the Ahjummas taking the subways. I cry. But travelling by Subway is really nice....but I should probably try the bus when I go back. Discipline wise....it could be really crowded but at least they fall in line properly unlike here....:\

7. HISTORICAL MONUMENTS AND OTHER PLACES.

What I like about Seoul is that it's surrounded by mountains and the historical places are well kept around the city. Its nice and I appreciated the culture and the whole place in general. Even the Koreans themselves still appreciate them, take good care of everything and still visit the palaces with their families and friends.

8. KOREAN FOOD.

I gotta put this in. My digestion for the whole week was really good and I felt really healthy with all the vegetables and meats. They were all balanced. PLUS My brothers and I fell in love with seaweed to the point that we're actually looking for Korean marts here. and I gotta throw in the Banana yogurt milk I MISS YOU. :( In conclusion Korean food is one of the bests asian foods out there that I ended up loving. I learned how to eat spicy food too but......I still have a long way to go.

.....Gonna end it here for now probably gonna add more stuffs when I remember them but for now....I leave it up to here~.
